The 1863 is the third scarcest P mint Type One double eagle (after the 1862 and the 1859), and it is always popular due to its Civil War issuance.
This is a nice example which is solid for the grade, in my opinion. It is likely kept from CAC approval due to a few too many small marks on the obverse but I like this coin a lot.
No CAC approved PCGS AU50 has appeared at auction and not including this example, the only comparable APR is Heritage 12/2022: 92548 at $13,200.
