Nearly every nice AU58 No Motto eagle is uncommon, and the Fairmont Hoard proved to be a bonanza for collectors who had shied away from these coins due to a lack of quality.
This coin is virgin-original with lovely rich green-gold color. I am virtually certain this coin was never circulated, but the jostling it received when it was transported to a bank after being made caused the surfaces to acquire some light bag friction.
CAC has approved 24 in AU58 with 10 finer.
