Unlike many other of the quarter eagles from this era, the 1892 has not been graded (yet) in any quantity higher than MS64 and Gems remain rare.
This piece is a little scuffy for the grade but it displays nice luster and color.
Only a single PCGS/CAC MS64 has been sold at auction and it brought $3,055 in early 2019. There are auction records for non-CAC PCG MS64 1890 quarter eagles for over $3,000 as far back as 2010.
CAC has approved 13 in this grade with three finer.
