The 1873 Open 3 is readily available in grades through MS64+. Gems are scarce, especially with natural surfaces.
This piece is a touch scuffy for the grade but this is more than made up for by its nice unmolested color and the excellent frost seen on both sides.
There have been four auction sales of PCGS/CAC MS64s in the last two years, with a low of $1,080 (3/2023) and a high of $1,800 (3/2021).
CAC has approved 20 in this grade with 10 finer.
