This has long been a favorite DWN date with choice AU coins being very scarce and Uncirculated coins truly rare.
This piece is choice AU on the obverse and less choice on the reverse, primarily due to a typical weak strike. However, I think the overall grade of AU50 is a touch on the conservative side as there is tons of luster remaining.
Another slightly less choice PCGS/CAC AU50 example brought $3,055 as Legend 1/2018: 264.
I think this date is still great value at its current price level.
