Of the two varieties of 1860-P quarter eagles, the Type One/Old Reverse is the scarcer. The PCGS Coinfacts estimate of 50 known is way too low, but examples which are CAC approved are not easily available.
No CAC approved examples of the variety in any circulated grade have ever sold and the only Uncirculated 1860 Type One/Old Reverse quarter eagle with CAC approval to have an auction record is a PCGS MS61 which sold for $5,040 in early 2021.
CAC has approved this one coin in this grade with six finer.
