This crisp, yellow-gold example is in an old green label holder and in my opinion it is a strong MS62 by today’s standards.
The 1859 New Reverse quarter eagle is scarce in the lower MS grades and rare in MS63 and finer.
No PCGS/CAC MS61 or MS62 example of this variety has ever sold at auction.
CAC has approved two in this grade with four finer.
