The 1846-O is scarcer than the 1847-O and the 1852-O, but a little less scarce than the 1850-O and the 1851-O. It is a fairly tough issue in properly graded AU58 (the CAC stats for this date in AU58 seems WAY inflated).
If you covered the grade and showed this coin to most collectors, they would likely guess MS61 or even MS62 as the soft, frosty surfaces show no appreciable wear.
There are five APRs for the 1846-O in PCGS/CAC AU58 since early 2018 with the two most recent each bringing $2,880; one in late 2022 and the other in mid-2019.
CAC has approved 23 in this grade with 10 finer.
