Old Green Holder. By today’s standards, this coin offers strong claims to an MS62 grade and it is certainly more clean and fresh than many Type Two double eagles that I see in 62 holders. This piece has excellent luster and color and the majority of the abrasions are clustered in the left obverse field. Type Two double eagles become progressively more rare as you go up the grading scale and the “sweet spot” for most collectors is MS61 to MS62.
