While much scarcer in this grade than the 1863-S or 1865-S, the 1862-S sells for litle or no premium in this grade. It is not an easy issue to locate with original color and surfaces.
This evenly worn, original piece shows nice natural green-gold color with some rose shadings. It is choice and problem-free.
At current levels, its hard not to like Type Ones double eagles that look like this!
