GOLD CAC STICKER 1882-O EAGLE
Housed in an old green label PCGS holder; in my opinion this coin grades at least EF45 if not AU50.
The 1882-O is the fifth rarest of 16 With Motto eagles struck between 1879 and 1906. Around 300 are known from the original mintage of 10,820.
This is the sole 1882-O eagle to be thus far awarded the coveted Gold CAC sticker. It shows attractive deep russet color over clean, lustrous surfaces.
A similar quality PCGS/OGH EF40 1882-O eagle sold for $2,233 as Heritage 9/16: 8598 and it was not approved by CAC.
A great coin for the collector who likes all the "bells and whistles."
This is the only Gold CAC example of this date in any grade.
