Every No Motto $10 from this mint is scarce to rare (except for the 1854-S), and there are fewer than 75 examples of the 1862-S known. Semi-affordable collector grade coins such as this one are exceptionally hard to locate.
While extensively worn, this piece has real eye appeal with darkish red-gold color highlighting lighter green-gold centers.
In the 2024 FUN sale, a PCGS/CAC F12 coin brought $5,040 and the coin I am offering here is decidedly finer.
