HEAVILY “FAIRMONTED” 1905 $20 GRADED MS62 BY PCGS
A decade ago, there were fewer than 100 examples of this date in PCGS MS62 and around 60 finer. Today, that number is now 288 in MS63 with 95 finer. The gradual abundance of 1905 double eagles in MS60 to MS63 is largely due to the Fairmont Hoard, as well as some other deals which have hit the market in a quieter fashion.
This coin shows rich lemon-gold color and good luster, but it is sorta baggy and the MS62 grade is perfect, in my opinion.
