As with the 1879-S, the 1880-S is readily available in MS61, overrated in MS62, and very scarce in MS63. The best I am aware of is the amazing PCGS MS65+ which sold twice for $129,250; once in 2019, and again in 2020.

This coin seems especially nice for the grade and it wouldn’t look out of place in an MS62 holder. It is very natural with great color and clean surfaces.
