GEM 1906-D $5

The 1906-D is numismatically significant as it is the first Liberty Head eagle struck at the newly-opened Denver Mint. It is scarcer than its counterpart the 1907-D and while more common than generally recognized in MS65, CAC approved coins in this grade are not easily located.

This uber-frosty Gem shows attractive 100% natural golden-orange color.

Only two PCGS/CAC MS65s have sold via auction since 2011, with the most recent sale realizing $3,120 in May 2022.

CAC has approved 24 in this grade with five finer.

PLEASE ADD $30 FOR EXPRESS MAIL SHIPPING ON ALL COINS PRICED AT $5,000 OR LOWER.
