GEM SLIDER 1894-O HALF EAGLE WITH CAC APPROVAL
The 1894-O is the last of just three With Motto Liberty Head half eagles produced at the New Orleans mint. It is not often found above the MS61 level, and it is many times scarcer than the 1893-O.
This prooflike example looks MS62 to the naked eye. It has excellent eye appeal due to comparatively abrasion-free surfaces and nice natural golden-orange color.
A PCGS/CAC AU58 sold for $1,680 in January 2022.
Good value for this underappreciated issue!
