AFFORDABLE PCGS/CAC AU50 1911-D $10
The vast majority of the AU examples of this date which I have seen exhibit dark, unattractive color and have impaired luster. This coin, which looks more like an AU55 to me, is a light green-gold hue with moderate amounts of wear on the high spots.
A pleasing affordable example of one of the true Condition Rarities of the $10 Indian series.
CAC has approved five in this grade with 124 finer.
