The 1850-O is the scarcest gold dollar produced at the New Orleans mint.
This frosty light green-gold example represents very nice quality for the grade. There are a few wispy lines in the left obverse field but this is a coin with a better overall appearance than most 1850-O gold dollars in MS60 or even MS61 holders.
Three PCGS/CAC AU58s have sold at auction with this example having the lowest price (see below), while the highest price is $2,310 for a coin sold in May 2018.
