1855 $20.00 NGC EF45

Along with the 1856, the 1855 is one of my favorite "sleeper" Type One double eagles. This date is dozens and dozens of time scarcer than the 1851-1853 issues yet it sells for juts a small premium. This attractive, evenly worn piece is original with good color and pleasing surfaces.
