This formerly sleepy date gained notice in 2022, when two nice CAC approved PCGS AU58 examples brought $5,520 and $6,000 at auction.
Here is a nice lustrous example with typically “chattery” fields. There is very little actually wear seen on either side.
In MS61, this becomes a $15,000 coin which seems like an overbuy for this specific issue.
