GEM 1911 EAGLE WITH CAC APPROVAL

The 1911 is the third most available With Motto Indian Head $10 from Philadelphia after the 1932 and the 1926. It is substantially scarcer in CAC approved MS65 than either of these two dates, and it is a difficult issue to locate in MS66 and finer with CAC approval.

This is an especially nice coin for the grade with glowing medium orange-gold color resting atop extremely frosty surfaces. There are no significant marks on either the obverse or the reverse nor are there breaks in the luster.

Four CAC approved MS65 1911 eagles have sold at auction since the beginning of 2022, with three of these in PCGS holders (these brought $9,600, $9,106 and $10,869) while a single NGC sold; it brought $10,500 in January 2022.

This coin would be perfect for a high-end gold type set.

CAC has approved 59 in this grade with 23 finer.
