This is a sharply defined slider with ample luster below deep green-gold color with reddish shadings at the rims.

Since the middle of 2018, only two AU-58 1866-S quarter eagles have been auctioned. Both were PCGS, and they realized $3,068 (11/2023) and $4,440 (11/2021).
