‘PERFECT FOR TYPE’ PCGS/CAC 1876 $20.00 IN MS63
The 1876 $20 is a very common date up through MS62+, but scarce in properly graded MS63, rare in MS64, and currently unique in PCGS MS65 (and with a PCGS Price Guide value of $250k!).
This is an outstanding coin for the grade and a piece that wouldn’t look silly in a 63+ holder. The luster swirls over very clean medium orange-gold color.
In April 2022, Stack’s Bowers sold a PCGS/CAC MS63 which I like a lot less than my coin for $18,000. This one is priced far more realistically.
CAC has approved seven in MS63 with only five finer.
