SUPERB GEM PCGS/CAC MS66+
The short-lived No Drapery type was produced for three years: from 1838 through 1840. The 1840 is reasonably obtainable in grades through MS64, but Gems are very scarce, while Superb coins number just two: a pair of PCGS MS67 coins including, Heritage 2022 ANA: 3749—ex Bender Collection and approved by CAC—which sold for $16,800.
This frosty Gem has wonderful deep rose-gold centers with a dramatic splash of iridescent bluish-green color at the lower obverse and in a lesser intensity on the reverse. The strike is sharp and close examination of the surfaces with a 5x loupe shows a near-total lack of marks.
Since 2013, no 1840 No Drapery dimes have sold at auction, and the the sole finer example is the aforementioned Bender coin in PCGS/CAC MS67.
This would make a great type coin or it would capably fill the slot in a high quality date set of Seated Dimes.
CAC has approved four in MS66 (including this one example in 66+) with just a single coin finer.
