The 1892-CC is seen from time to time in the lower Uncirculated grades; in this case MS60 to MS62. It is extreme scarce in MS63 and almost impossible to locate any finer.
In my opinion, this very attractive coin is at least a full point undergraded. It has great luster for the issue and the surfaces are lightly marked. I especially like the color whcih is a rich medium orange-gold.
No PCGS MS60 example of this date has sold at auction for well over a decade. In their 9/2025 sale, Stacks Bowers offered a PCGS MS61 1892-CC $10 without CAC approval that realized $10,200.
With PCGS/CAC MS62 examples worth around $20,000, this nice PCGS/CAC MS61 seems like great value a half the price.
CAC has approved six in his grade with 20 finer.
