Uncommonly well-struck for this design and a great type coin as a result.
The 1836 half eagle is not often seen better than MS62 to MS63. Only three PCGS MS62 examples have sold at auction in over 10+ years, with the following APRs: $7,800 (8/2022); $7,217 (1/2020), and $7,050 (1/2014).
From the Seattle Collection and ex Heritage 2/2010: 1570 where it sold for $5,750.
