This is likely the finest known example of this variety which has fewer known (<10) than any other non-Proof Classic Head quarter eagle.
Attractive and original and a coin which is likely finer than its assigned grade, but which is weakly impressed as are all known 1836 HM-3 quarter eagles.
For the date, the CAC population is 3 with 86 finer. For the variety, this is the only 1836 HM-3 approved by CAC .
