This is the most available of three distinct varieties for this year. The others are the Normal Date and the variety with 50 over 5D on the reverse. It is comparable to the 1814/3 and the 1820 issues and it is many times scarcer than the relatively available 1813. For the variety, an estimated 100+ exist.
This a very choice “slider” with lovely natural reddish-gold colors seen on both sides. I purchased the coin from the auction cited below and I’m not certain that it has ever been to CAC. Its a 50/50 shot that it would work but regardless of its approval or non=approval, its a wonderfully fresh coin in terms of its overall appearance.
Stacks Bowers 9/2026: 2316 was also graded AU58 by PCGS and in my opinion that coin was totally awful. It still brought $19,520 and I think this coin is a bargain at my asking price.
Ex Heritage 10/2026: 3473 where I paid $19,520 for it.
