Just 4,000 of these were made for circulation, and Gem 1894 quarter eagles are very scarce.
This piece is totally fresh to the market. It is a frosty Gem with great color and no notable abrasions.
In the 2022 ANA auction, Heritage sold an inferior PCGS/CAC MS65 for $5,520 while the same firm got a bid of $20,400 in their 2024 ANA sale for $20,400.
This superb coin represents extremely good value, in my opinion.
CAC has approved five in MS65 with three finer.
