GEM CAC APPROVED MS65 LEWIS AND CLARK GOLD DOLLAR

The 1904 is one of two issues that celebrate the Centennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. As a resident of Portland, Oregon it is an issue that is near and dear to me as it was struck in conjunction with the Lewis and Clark Worlds Fair that was held less than three miles from my house.

This Gem example is housed in a much older NGC holder and, in my opinion, it is a solid MS66. The luster and color are superior for the issue.

After three decades in the dumps, Gold Commems are seeing some increases in popularity. I feel that both the 1904 and 1905 L+C dollars are uncommon in Gem and this piece is simply outstanding.

CAC has approved 19 in MS65 with 17 finer.
