PCGS/CAC MS62 1858 QUARTER EAGLE

The 1858 is an overlooked date in the long-running Liberty Head quarter eagle series which is not oftenseen above MS62 to MS63.

This is an uncommonly attractive example with very pleasing splashes of natural reddish-gold and russet color on both sides. Were it not for a few shallow, scattered marks this coin would easily grade at least a point higher.

A non-CAC PCGS MS62+ realized $1,880 as Heritage 6/14: 5587 while a CAC approved NGC MS62 brought $1,880 as Heritage 7/13: 3554.

Excellent value at its current level and a coin with great overall eye appeal.

CAC has approved 4 in this grade with 7 higher.
