PCGS MS62 1852-O GOLD DOLLAR

Variety 1.

The 1852-O is the second scarcest of six gold dollars from New Orleans. It is not often seen in grades higher than MS62 to MS63.

This well struck example shows good luster with natural greenish-gold color seen on the obverse and the reverse. There are a few small marks consistent with the assigned grade in the fields on both sides.

Only one PCGS MS62 1852-O gold dollar has sold at auction since June 2013 and it realized $2,050 as DLRC 3/17: 8291.

PLEASE ADD $25 FOR EXPRESS MAIL ON COINS PRICED AT $2,500 AND BELOW.
